Muddy Creek Raceway, considered one of the premier motocross tracks in the country, has been welcoming racers since the 1970s and is a favorite among competitors across the world.
The track, once featured in Sports Illustrated, is home to The Tennessee National motocross event, which takes place each June and is part of the Lucas Oil Motor Cross professional championship.
The inaugural Tennessee National, which took place in 2013, marked the first time in 15 years that the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship had held an event in the Southeast region of the United States. Muddy Creek, riddled with deep ruts and right turns that the riders embrace, didn’t disappoint as nearly 25,000 fans jammed into the facility to watch some of the world’s finest professional riders attack one of the country’s most challenging tracks.
The crowds continue to make the pilgrimage to Blountville each year, packing into Muddy Creek to see the nationally televised Tennessee National.
