PARAMOUNT CENTER FOR THE ARTS

The Paramount Center for the Arts, built in 1931 and restored in 1991, serves as a showplace for the arts in Bristol, featuring nationally known musicians, while hosting Broadway touring shows and presenting a varied performance line-up.

The Paramount offers its stage to local performing groups, including several ballet companies; Symphony of the Mountains, a regional orchestra; Voices of the Mountains, a regional chorus and; The Paramount Players, the area’s chamber music ensemble.

Over the past several years, Mountain Stage, an internationally aired weekly, two-hour live performance music radio program has featured some of the world’s greatest artists in an intimate and relaxed atmosphere with a live-broadcast edge. The Birthplace of Country Music® hosts Mountain Stage annually at the Paramount.
