If you’re in Bristol and find yourself in need of some retail therapy, you’re in luck because Bristol has a myriad of shopping opportunities. And while there are a number of national chains there’s also quite a few unique speciality stores, particularly in the downtown district, thanks to a substantial revitalization effort from both Bristol, Tenn. and Bristol, Va. over the last decade.

Both sides of State Street feature locally owned and operated boutique establishments which include women’s and men’s specialty stores, a country décor business, restaurants, ice cream shops, gift stores, art galleries, antiques and even an olive oil store.

The Pinnacle, which is located off I-81 at Exit 74 on the Tennessee side of town features Bass Pro Shops, Belk and a host of other stores and restaurants. The Falls, located off I-81 at Exit 5 in Virginia, will open at the end of August, 2015 featuring Cabela’s and Lowes with much more coming soon.

There’s also the Bristol Mall, on Gate City Highway, which is anchored by Sears and features a host of others stores and restaurants.
