If you’re in Bristol and find yourself in need of some retail therapy, you’re in luck because Bristol has a myriad of shopping opportunities. And while there are a number of national chains there are also quite a few unique specialty stores, particularly in the downtown district, thanks to a substantial revitalization effort from both Bristol, Tenn. and Bristol, Va. over the last decade.

Both sides of State Street feature locally owned and operated boutique establishments which include women’s and men’s specialty stores, a country décor business, restaurants, ice cream shops, gift stores, art galleries, antiques and a mercantile.

The Pinnacle, which is located off I-81 at Exit 74 on the Tennessee side of town features Bass Pro Shops, Belk and approximately 70 other stores and restaurants. The Falls, located off I-81 at Exit 5 in Virginia, is anchored by Cabela’s and Lowes, as well as restaurants, with more on the way.
