Bristol Motor Speedway is a world-class entertainment venue that is known for pushing the boundaries on what is possible.
This is no different in 2023 as the World’s Fastest Half-Mile will be covered with dirt as the stars of the NASCAR Cup Series return Sunday, April 9, for the Food City Dirt Race. It will be the first time the premiere series of NASCAR will race on dirt in over 50 years.
The NASCAR circuit returns September 14-16 for a weekend of intense action under the lights featuring America’s Night Race taking place Saturday, September 16. Cup Series drivers will be edge as the race is a cutoff race in the NASCAR playoffs.
Bristol Motor Speedway also offers track tours which offer visitors a more intimate view of both the Speedway and Bristol Dragway, which hosts the Thunder Valley Nationals, a wildly popular drag racing event on the NHRA circuit. The tour includes a lap around the high banks of Bristol Motor Speedway, a trip through Thunder Valley on the legendary racing strip, and a visit to owner Bruton Smith’s luxury skybox.
Each holiday season, the Speedway and Dragway are transformed into a winter wonderland for Speedway In Lights. Decorated with more than 2 million lights over a 4-mile drive, the event, which benefits Speedway Children’s Charities, starts before Thanksgiving and continues through New Year’s Eve.
