LOCATION: Cumberland Square Park, Bristol, Va.
Bristol’s Annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting is set for Monday, November 28th at 6:00 p.m. at Cumberland Square Park in Historic Downtown Bristol.
The event showcases the site’s nearly 50-foot Norwegian Spruce and its younger counterpart; a 25-foot Douglas Fir decorated with thousands of warm-white Christmas lights – about 30,000 – for a dramatic and joyous display.
For the first time this year, the event will feature 20+ holiday trees, each decorated by a local business, individual, or non-profit organization.
All trees will be lit simultaneously during the Community Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. Additional trees will also be located at the Downtown Center (810 State St. Bristol, TN).
Each 5’-7’ holiday tree will have a sign noting the group name. Spectators will have the chance to vote on their favorite tree via the QR code on each sign. A prize for People’s Choice will be presented later in the season.
The Emmanuel Episcopal Church and The Bristol Hotel will provide refreshments at the Christmas tree lighting event.
